Tom and Anita Volpe Use IRA Charitable Rollover to Create a Win-Win for Englewood Health and Themselves

Tom and Anita VolpeTom and Anita Volpe have made charitable giving a pillar of their 65-year marriage. Much of their giving has supported Englewood Health Foundation, and they have now utilized the IRA charitable rollover as another way to help the Foundation while satisfying their annual minimum required distribution and without realizing any income on the transfer.

The IRA charitable rollover is a "win-win," says Tom, who supports charitable causes both financially and with his time and talent. Among his many volunteer activities, he has served as a trustee for Englewood Health Foundation, Englewood Hospital and the Englewood Health System.

Since moving to Norwood in 1970, Tom and Anita have benefited from the excellent care provided by Englewood Health as have their three children and eight grandchildren. Tom even credits the hospital's outstanding health care professionals with keeping him active on the squash court.

"We are so proud to have Englewood Health in our community, and we are honored to give back to help ensure that everyone will be able to benefit from this hospital far into the future," Tom says.

Tom and Anita urge others to explore the charitable gift options available and to look for their own win-win giving opportunities.

"I would like to encourage anyone who is able to give, whatever the amount, to do so and help to facilitate the continued growth and outstanding care offered by Englewood Health."
